StyleCast is a mobile application (iOS and Android) developed and operated by StyleCast LLC ("StyleCast," "we," "us," or "our"). The app provides AI-powered outfit recommendations, trip packing lists, occasion styling guidance, and related fashion features based on your local weather.

We collect only the information necessary to deliver the app's features. The table below describes each category, what we collect, and why.

We do not collect your name, email address, or any other account information. There are no StyleCast user accounts. We do not sell your data to anyone, ever.
StyleCast uses AsyncStorage — a local, on-device storage mechanism — to save your wardrobe, style preferences, and journal entries. This data exists only on your device and is not transmitted to StyleCast servers.
If you delete the app, all locally stored data is permanently removed along with it. If you switch devices, your data does not automatically transfer, as there is no cloud sync.
Location data (your zip code or GPS coordinates) is used in real time to fetch weather data and is not persistently stored beyond your session preferences.
StyleCast integrates with the following third-party services to power its core features. Each service has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data it receives.
Powers the AI outfit recommendations, trip packing, style advice, and conversational features. Your style prompts and context are sent to Anthropic's API to generate responses. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train its models by default.
Anthropic Privacy Policy →Provides real-time weather data based on your location (ZIP code or GPS coordinates). Your location is sent to OpenWeatherMap to retrieve current conditions and forecasts used to personalize outfit recommendations.
OpenWeatherMap Privacy Policy →Provides AI-generated voice narration for outfit recommendations and style advice. When text-to-speech is used, the text content of the recommendation is sent to ElevenLabs for audio generation.
ElevenLabs Privacy Policy →Manages in-app subscription purchases and validates receipt status. RevenueCat receives a pseudonymous device identifier and your subscription transaction data from Apple or Google. StyleCast does not process or store payment card information.
RevenueCat Privacy Policy →App distribution and in-app purchase processing are handled by Apple Inc. (iOS) and Google LLC (Android). These platforms collect usage and payment data under their own privacy frameworks, including App Store Connect analytics and Google Play Console metrics.
Apple Privacy Policy → Google Privacy Policy →StyleCast requests location access to fetch accurate weather data for outfit recommendations. You can provide your location in two ways:
ZIP code: You type a ZIP or city name directly. This is sent to OpenWeatherMap and is not retained by StyleCast beyond your session.
GPS (optional): If you grant location permission, the app reads your device's GPS coordinates and passes them to OpenWeatherMap. You can revoke this permission at any time in your device's Settings app. Revoking GPS access does not affect app functionality — you can always use the ZIP code option instead.
On iOS, StyleCast may request access to your camera and photo library so you can photograph or select images of clothing items to add to your wardrobe catalog. Photos are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. They are not uploaded to any StyleCast or third-party server.
You can revoke camera and photo library permissions at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security. Revoking these permissions means you will not be able to add new wardrobe photos, but all previously saved data remains on your device.
StyleCast is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used the app in a way that provides personal information, please contact us at support@getstylecast.com and we will take appropriate steps to address your concern.
Because StyleCast does not maintain user accounts or server-side data stores, there is no StyleCast-held data to delete on request.
Locally stored data: Deleted automatically when you uninstall the app. You can also clear app data manually at any time through your device's settings.
Third-party data: Data held by third-party services (Anthropic, OpenWeatherMap, ElevenLabs, RevenueCat) is subject to their respective retention and deletion policies, linked in Section 4 above.
Purchase records: Subscription purchase history is retained by Apple and Google as required by their platform policies and applicable financial regulations.
We take reasonable technical measures to protect data in transit. All API communications (Anthropic, OpenWeatherMap, ElevenLabs, RevenueCat) are made over HTTPS/TLS-encrypted connections. Data stored locally on your device is subject to your device's own security mechanisms (e.g., iOS Data Protection).
No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to keep your device operating system and the StyleCast app updated to benefit from the latest security improvements.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Effective date" at the top of this page. For material changes, we may also provide notice within the app. Your continued use of StyleCast after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
